We are a family of lawyers that includes a former prosecutor, criminal defense lawyer, public defender, judge, and corporate lawyers. Because we are all lawyers, we get calls from friends and friends of friends in trouble. Although most people have some idea that they committed a crime, the overwhelming majority do not appreciate the gravity of their conduct. As a result, we have watched lives destroyed and families torn apart when people they loved got caught up in the criminal justice system. Time and again, we confront the bitter reality that most people do not know the law. Where do they learn it?

In the United States, ignorance of the law is no defense. Yet, it is a devastating reality that has led to the mass incarceration of far too many of our young people. We created CRIME NO CRIME to address this problem by educating people on the law, especially our youth, who often fall victim to the criminal justice system simply because they do not know it. With CRIME NO CRIME, no longer will people be blindsided by the law; they will know the law and the consequences of violating it.
